Approved Malting Varieties

The American Malting Barley Association (AMBA) tests numerous varieties of malting barley to determine their potential for use and acceptability by brewers.  A table outlining agronomic characteristics of barley (found on this web site) indicates whether or not a given variety has been approved by AMBA.  Please click here to view this table.
